Robert James Hill (1919 - 1941), was killed by police officer Wiley Frank Bird in Suwannee County, Florida. A bar owner called the police, alleging that James was drunk. After Bird arrived at the bar, an argument ensued. Bird shot James, claiming that James pulled a knife on him. Eyewitnesses stated that James did not have a knife.
