Killing of George Green in South Carolina in 1933
George Green, age 65, a farmer, was killed in 1933 by klansmen in Chick Springs, Greenville County, South Carolina. Around fifteen men came to Green’s home and fatally shot him. Authorities knew no reason for the killing. Arrested and charged were G.L. Smith, N.J. Duncan, W.B. Harter, J.D. Daily, Andrew Monk, C.F. Jones, and E.W. Davis.
