Killing of Willie Reeves in Georgia in 1939
Incident
Willie Reeves, age 27, a farmer, was killed in 1939 by farmer James Wallace in Meriwether County, Georgia. The two were engaged in a labor dispute when Wallace shot Reeves to death. Wallace was charged with murder and release on bail. Not clear what if any legal action was taken against Wallace.
