Mack Josey (1880-1938), a laborer, was killed by police officers Ben Ong and Walter Waldron in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia. Josey was accused of fatally shooting acting detective chief J.M. Dobson during a stand-off in an alley with police. Police claimed that, after killing Dobson, Josey was aiming his rifle at police chief Ben T. Watkins, and Ong and Waldron opened fire. Also present was detective J.L. McSwain.
