S.S. Mincey, 70, a farmer, Secretary of Masonic Orphanage, and Chairman of the Republican committee, was killed in 1930 by unknown persons in Montgomery County, Georgia. Mincey was kidnapped and carried to Toombs County where he was beaten by a band of masked men. Mincey was returned to his home by a white man who found him crawling on the highway.
