Killing of Bo Brinson in Georgia in 1935
Bo Brinson, about 30, a farm worker, was killed in 1935 by a posse in Colquitt County, Georgia. The posse was searching Brinson’s home for a Black man accused of killing a white man. They did not find the man they were searching for but became enraged and beat and shot Brinson. An essay on this case, researched and authored by a CRRJ student, is available on request.
