Killing of Henry A. Bush in Alabama
Incident
Henry A. Bush (1922-1941), a farmer, was killed by police officer Horace O. Hicks in Jefferson County, Alabama. Deputy R.F. McDonald, a county warden, suspected Bush of shoplifting and tried to apprehend him. Bush fled and was pursued by Hicks and police officer E.T. Rouse, and Hicks shot him.
