Killing of Luther Watson in Tennessee in 1942
Incident
Luther Watson (1890-1942) died in Elizabethton, Carter County, Tennessee. His body was found in an outbuilding at the home of his neighbor Robert Jackson. Death certificate indicates coronary thrombosis as the cause of death. In a letter to U.S. District Attorney James B. Frazier, Jr., M.S. Bangs, publisher of the Elizabethton Star newspaper, stated that the body was found under mysterious circumstances and should be investigated.
