Killing of Sam Marshall in Georgia
Incident
Sam Marshall (1908 - 1954), a fertilizer company worker, was killed by Bill Rogers in Lowndes County, Georgia. Marshall was released on bond after being convicted of running down and seriously injuring Rogers' son. Rogers caught up with Marshall, beat him with a broken bottle and shot him. Grand jury declined to indict.
