John Henry Ford was killed in 1949 possibly by John McKinney and Louie Dubose in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia. A fisherman named Emmett Cass found Ford’s body floating in the Ocmulgee River. Sheriff E. Julian Peacock had charged McKinney and Dubose with the Ocmulgee River murders of Jim Mitchell, 65, and Ivey Lee Parker, 19, both Black, and believed that they were connected to the Ford murder as well.
