Killing of Estes Wright in Florida in 1935
Incident
Estes Wright, age 30, a laborer, was killed in 1935 by an unknown person in Fort Pierce, St. Lucie County, Florida. Correspondence with the NAACP states that Wright was beaten to death by a white man. Death certificate gives the cause of death as cerebral hemorrhage caused by a blow to the head.
