Case summary

William Harmon, age 18, a shipping dock worker, was killed in 1942 by C.B. Billingsley in Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida. Harmon was returning from work and stopped by a laundry building to relieve himself. Billingsley, the laundry’s night watchman, fatally shot Harmon through a window. Harmon’s father, Rev. John W. Harmon, pursued manslaughter charges. Billingsley was cleared.
