Killing of Willie Malachi Williams in Alabama in 1946

William Malechi Williams (1901 – 1946) was killed by Miles H. Dillard, a federal alcohol tax agent, in Birmingham, Alabama. Dillard alleged that Williams struck him with a bottle and began choking him when he was attempting to arrest Williams for violating liquor laws. A coroner returned a finding of justifiable homicide.
