Killing of Memphis David Carter in Texas in 1953

Memphus David Carter, age 35, industrial worker, was killed in 1953 by Ralph Ferguson, a deputy sheriff in Gregg County, Texas. The deputy sheriff shot Carter allegedly because Carter did not know the whereabouts of Eural Davis, whom the officer was looking for. Grand jury declined to indict.
