Killing of Alfred Carter Jr. in Alabama in 1951
Incident
Alfred Carter Jr. (1915?-1951), a laborer for the Birmingham Gas Co., was killed by Officer Q.R. Trott in Montgomery, Alabama. Trott claimed that he and another officer were trying to pull Carter over for speeding, that Carter fled and then violently resisted arrest. Trott shot Carter, who died the next day.
