Case summary

A.T. Harden, age 15, a farmer, was killed in 1933 by a lynch mob in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Harden, along with Dan Pippen, Jr., 18, and Elmore Clark, 28, were arrested for the murder of 21-year-old Vaudine Maddox. The mob abducted the three from law enforcement officers and shot them.
