Douglas Crawford, (1915?-1944), according to reports made to the NAACP, was killed by a lynch mob in Camden, Wilcox County Alabama. Crawford and another man named Montgomery were abducted from a car by a gang of white men. Montgomery was beaten senseless. Crawford’s body was found with a rope around the neck and signs of having been dragged.
