Wilson Morgan, a farmer, was killed in 1930 allegedly by George Haddes, a white man, and Lama Kensey, a Black man, in Warren County, Georgia. Morgan’s body was found with its skull crushed and feet weighted in the Ogeechee River in Louisville, Jefferson County. Morgan had been subpoenaed to testify in a case against Haddes and Kensey.
